How to Buy an Aged eBay Stealth Account Without Getting Suspended

An aged eBay stealth account — an account that was created in a specific country, warmed with real transactions, and never linked to a suspended entity — sells for $150 to $2,500 in 2026 depending on age, feedback score, and category-approval status. Sellers who need to bypass MC011 suspensions or list in categories closed to new sellers keep the market alive.

The technical difficulty is enormous. eBay's fraud model checks IP, browser fingerprint, cookie history, payment method, address, phone number, and dozens of behavioural signals. Get any of them wrong on day one and the account gets an MC011 permanent suspension within 48 hours, wiping the value you just paid for.

What actually transfers when you buy the account#

You are not buying a legal ownership right — you are buying a set of credentials and a documented history. That includes the login, the linked email, the recovery phone (or the ability to swap it to a phone in the right country), the payment methods, and any category approvals. What does NOT transfer: the seller's promise that eBay will never detect the ownership change. eBay's linking algorithm has caught buyers who did everything else right but reused a single browser fingerprint from a suspended account they owned five years ago.

The escrow contract must reflect this. The seller sells the credentials and the history; the buyer accepts operational risk. Escrow protects against seller fraud, not against eBay's own detection.

Pre-deal verification#

  • Seller screen-shares the account's Seller Hub → Performance dashboard for the last 90 days.
  • Seller shows the linked email inbox to prove no eBay policy-violation notices have been received.
  • Seller reveals whether the account has ever received an MC011 warning (any MC-series warning halves the value; hidden warnings are the top dispute cause).
  • Seller confirms the country of origin, the linked bank account, and whether category approvals for high-value categories (jewellery, electronics, collectibles) are active.
  • Both parties agree on which browser fingerprint and IP profile the buyer will use on first login — this must match the account's history within 90%.

The safe transfer flow#

Buyer funds escrow for the deal amount plus the platform fee. Seller then executes the handover: change the linked email to the buyer's, change the recovery phone (or hand over SIM access), and remove the seller's payment method from the account. The buyer logs in from a device with a residential IP matching the account's registered country, using a browser profile the seller has warmed for the previous two weeks.

First-week activity: no listings, no messages, no account changes. Just log in daily from the same device, browse, and let eBay's fraud model absorb the new session without alarms. On day 7, the buyer lists one small-value item priced at 90% of market rate and completes a real sale. On day 14, the buyer can begin operating normally.

The inspection window#

Escrow releases 21 days after transfer, on the condition that no MC011 or MC-series suspension has arrived. If a suspension arrives during the window and is traceable to pre-transfer activity (a hidden policy violation, an unresolved case), the buyer wins the dispute. If it is traceable to buyer-side behaviour (aggressive listing, IP jumping, feedback manipulation), the seller keeps the funds.

This is longer than our default 72-hour inspection window because eBay's suspension pipeline runs in weekly batches. A shorter window releases funds before the real risk period is over.

When to walk away#

Walk away if the seller cannot prove country of origin, if the account has any active case or return in the last 60 days, if the seller wants payment in gift cards or crypto to a wallet with no history, or if the price is more than 40% below current stealth-market averages. Any single one of these correlates with a 50%+ suspension rate in our mediated deals.
